Concentrate your conditioner on your hair's tips since conditioners can make your fine hair appear limp. Apply a deep conditioner and shampoo designed specifically for your hair after swimming to restore moisture.  Before going swimming, prepare your hair to prevent it from chlorine's damaging effects.

One of the most crucial measures in keeping your hair healthy is to use a sulfate-free shampoo every day, or at least every other day. Many shampoos contain sulfates, a detergent that can weaken hair roots over time, causing split ends and thinning hair.
