It occurs in perimenopause. In this condition, you may have irregular bleeding or spotting. They may come more or less frequently than usual, and they may be heavier or lighter.

Vaginal dryness, itching start during perimenopause and continue into menopause. In this condition, vaginal tissues become thinner and may experience discomfort and pain during vaginal sex. Also, if the skin breaks, this can increase the risk of infection.

Hot flash and Night sweats
Hot flashes are common around the time of menopause. They cause a person to feel a sensation of heat in the face, neck, or chest and progress upward or downward. A hot flash can also cause sweating, red patches to form on the skin.
It occurs in this condition because of changing hormone levels, including estrogen and progesterone, affecting the body’s temperature control. Changes in these hormone levels affect the action of other hormones that are responsible for regulating the body’s temperature.

Some medications are used to treat symptoms of this condition such as eflornithine hydrochloride, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), and sleep medications.
Hormonal therapy in Menopause
Hormonal therapy is done to balance the hormone level in the body by providing supplemental estrogen and progesterone hormones. Hormone therapy comes in various forms. It may be skin patches and topical creams. It can help reduce the occurrence of hot flashes and other menopause symptoms.
A person should not use hormone therapy if they health issues like heart disease, stroke, cancer. It’s good for you to discuss the possible benefits and risks of hormone therapy and your health issue with a doctor before deciding to use it.
