We often hear people talking about having a bad hair day and sometimes we look at these individuals and we think to ourselves, that this is just a made up thing. In actuality, bad hair days happen to many hundreds of thousands of people all across Australia every single day and it is not a nice situation to find yourself in. These bad hair days normally occur on very important occasions like when you are meeting the client later that morning or you are meeting a new friend in a social capacity that you hope might grow into something special. Bad hair days do exist but the good news is that there are a number of things that you can do to stop them occurring in frequency.

One of the first things that you need to do is to invest in a blow out brush so that when you’re drying your hair, you can properly shape it so that it doesn’t get out of hand and it doesn’t start having that frizzy look. Many people think that healthy and manageable hair is a myth but with the proper hair care and following these tips, there no reason to think that you can’t have a good hair day every single day of the week throughout the year.

  1. Wash your hair regularly – This is not a one size fits all piece of advice because people have different hair types and so you may have to base the regularity on that. However, you always want to make sure that your hair isn’t dirty and it doesn’t have excess oil. If you have really dry hair then a couple of times a week washing your hair should be sufficient. If you have oily hair on the other hand, then washing it every second day seems to be the best advice.
  2. Use the right shampoos – Ideally, you should be trying to find shampoos that are chemical free because not only are they better for your hair but they are better for the environment as well. Certain shampoos can cause skin irritation on your scalp and face when used over time and so the less chemicals that are in your shampoo, the healthier that your hair will be and the healthier that you will be.
  3. Always use conditioner – Conditioner is incredibly important for keeping your hair manageable but many Australians don’t apply it properly and this is why they experience bad hair days. Conditioner is not to be applied to all of your hair and only the tips. You also need to make sure that you rinse it off properly after you do so.
  4. Limit the use of heat styling – When it comes to important events or milestones, then getting out your blowout brush is warranted because you want to look stylish and you want to look your very best. You should know however that heat styling can damage your hair if it is not done properly and so if possible, let your hair dry the natural way a few days a week. Another tip to remember is to not comb your hair when it is wet and never lie down on your bed and go to sleep with wet hair either.
  5. Get your hair cut regularly – You should be aiming to get your hair trimmed at least every month and a half or so, in order that you don’t experience any split ends. Split ends occur due to the lives that we live including pollution around your town or city, stress that we have to deal with every day and others. Another way to take care of your hair properly is to make sure that you are hydrated every single day and so this involves drinking more liquids than you currently do. You can of course buy hair products that will hydrate the hair for you but if you can try to drink up to 3 litres of water every single day then this will help to protect your hair health.

Your diet has a lot to do with whether or not you get a bad hair day and like everything else on your body, it needs the right kind of nutrition and vitamins in order to be able to grow and to take care of itself. Try to consume things like eggs, strawberries, fish and lots of green vegetables. By following the above pieces of advice, there is no reason that you can’t look your very best every day.
