Equipment:

  • Parchment paper

Recipe( How to Make Peanut Butter Frosting)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the pan: Line your 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, ensuring it overhangs the edges for easy removal.
  2. Combine the stars: In your mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter and frosting. If using a stiff frosting, microwave it for a few seconds to soften slightly for easier mixing.
  3. Mix it up: Using your spatula, mix the peanut butter and frosting until well combined. You want a smooth and creamy consistency.
  4. Flavor Boost (Optional): Add the vanilla extract and salt (if using) and give it a final stir.
  5. Pour and Set: Pour the mixture into your prepared baking pan and spread it evenly using the spatula.
  6. Chill Time: Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours, or until it's firm. Ideally, leave it overnight for the best texture.

Cutting and Serving:

  • Once chilled, remove the fudge from the pan using the parchment paper overhangs.
  • Cut the fudge into squares of your desired size. Bite-sized pieces are perfect for sharing, while larger squares can be a decadent single serving.
  • Enjoy your Frosting Fudge Peanut Butter as is, or get creative with toppings! Drizzle with melted chocolate, sprinkle with chopped peanuts, or dust with powdered sugar for an extra touch.

Tips and Tricks:

  • Frosting Choice: While vanilla frosting is a classic choice, feel free to experiment with different flavors. Chocolate frosting creates a peanut butter cup-like experience, while cream cheese frosting adds a tangy touch.
  • Peanut Butter Options: Creamy peanut butter offers a smooth texture, while chunky peanut butter adds delightful peanut bits.
  • Microwave Magic: If your frosting is too stiff, microwave it for a few seconds at a time, stirring in between, until it softens slightly for easier mixing. Be careful not to overheat it.
  • Chilling is Key: Patience is a virtue! Ensure your fudge chills for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, for the best texture.
  • Cutting Cleanly: For clean cuts, dip your knife in warm water and wipe it dry between cuts.
  • Vanilla extract and fine sea salt sharpen the flavors.
  • You can  mix nuts, chocolate, sprinkles or crushed pretzels. The best time to add them into the fudge is right after mixing and stirring but before pouring it into thepan to set.
