If you’re having difficulty in managing your AT&T email account through the web-based client or facing a range of AT&T not working problem then, it is worth mentioning that one of the excellent features of ATT.net Mail (powered by Yahoo) is also that it equally supports IMAP | POP and SMTP server.

This means Att.net (AT&T) provides IMAP, POP and SMTP access to your Att.net (AT&T) account, so you can connect to your emails from any third-party desktop or mobile email client.

[Note: Both desktop email programs and mobile email apps will use “Incoming (POP3 or IMAP) and Outgoing (SMTP) Server Settings” of an email service to send and receive emails.]

In simple words, you don’t have to use Att.net’s webmail interface. Instead, you can check your email and exchange messages using either desktop email programs (like Outlook Express, Mailspring, Apple Mail, or Mozilla Thunderbird) or your mobile mail app.

When you access your Att.net email account from a third-party email platform, it eliminates the need of going through a lengthy process of visiting “my.att.net site” using a web browser and then signing in to your Att.net email account.

Not only that, desktop and mobile email applications can also improve your workflow as they usually offer more options for instance; your Att.net email remains available on your computer/mobile even when you’re disconnected from the internet.

However, in order to set up an Att.net email account successfully on different devices and email clients, the right server and port settings of AT&T Email require to be used; otherwise, you won’t be able to use the AT&T email service on any device and client.

In respect to this, many of you may not know the correct “AT&T Email Server Settings” and even if so, there’s nothing wrong with that because we all have to learn the process that we are doing for the first time!

So, if you’ve been looking for Att.net email settings, then luckily you have come to the right place. Here, we will discuss the AT&T email setting required for ATT email setup  on platforms like Outlook, Windows, Mac, iPhone, Android, iPad, etc.

To be precise, by using the ATT.net email setting given below, you’ll be able to configure your Att.net email account on any third-party email application (Outlook, Thunderbird, Mac Mail, Yahoo Mail)  that too, on any device (computer, mobile phone, tablets).

Now, with that said, let’s firstly have a look at the general “IMAP | POP and SMTP” Server Settings that are necessary for setting up an Att.net email account on a third-party email client—

AT&T.Net Email Server Settings – IMAP, POP3 and SMTP

AT&T Email IMAP Settings (Incoming Mail Server)

AT&T Mail Server Account Type IMAP
AT&T Mail Username Your Full AT&T Email Address , including domain (e.g., test@att.net, test@bellsouth.net)
AT&T Mail Password Your AT&T Email Account Password
AT&T Mail IMAP Hostname imap.mail.att.net
AT&T Mail IMAP Server Port 993
Required AT&T Mail IMAP TLS/SSL  YES
Authentication Required YES (AT&T Email account Username and Password)

AT&T Email POP Settings (Incoming Mail Server)

AT&T Mail Server Account Type POP
AT&T Mail Username Your Full AT&T Email Address , including domain (e.g., test@att.net, test@bellsouth.net)
AT&T Mail Password Your AT&T Email Account Password
AT&T Mail IMAP Hostname pop.mail.att.net
AT&T Mail IMAP Server Port 995
Required AT&T Mail POP TLS/SSL  YES
Authentication Required YES (AT&T Email account Username and Password)

After inputting the above given att.net email IMAP settings or att.net email POP settings, you’ll be able to access and enjoy the ATT.net incoming mail services.

AT&T Email SMTP Settings (Outgoing Mail Server)

AT&T Mail Server Account Type SMTP
AT&T Mail Username Your Full AT&T Email Address , including domain (e.g., test@att.net, test@bellsouth.net)
AT&T Mail Password Your AT&T Email Account Password
AT&T Mail SMTP Hostname smtp.mail.att.net
AT&T Mail SMTP port 465
Required AT&T Mail SMTP TLS/SSL  YES
Authentication Required YES (AT&T Email Account Username and Password)

Similarly, when you apply the above att.net email SMTP settings, you get the opportunity to use ATT.net outgoing email services without any inconvenience.

[Note: These mail server settings are good to be used for email addresses with all the following AT&T domains: @att.net, @ameritech.net, @bellsouth.net, @currently.com, @flash.net, @nvbell.net, @prodigy.net, @pacbell.net, @sbcglobal.net, @swbell.net, @snet.net, or @wans.net.]

Now, what you further need to note is that the server settings for each of the devices (iPhone, Android, Mac, and Windows) are slightly different from one another and because of that, chances are, you might get confused with the server settings while configuring your Att.net email account on to your respective device.

So, in order to help you avoid even the minor possibility of entering the wrong AT&T server settings during configuration of your Att.net email account on an email client; below we’ve mentioned them separately for iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows devices resp. Have a look—
